Swachtha Abhiyan Samarpan conducted “Swachtha Pakwara” programmes in the urban wards focusing the community living in the catchment areas of Bindal river in Dehradun city. It was for the labour class population in those areas where they continue to live in unsafe and unhygienic conditions. The programme was conducted in coordination with Ward Member and other respectable people of the area, where the people were educated through short movies on hygiene, Quiz and distributing them free items related to hygiene like sanitary Pads, Dustbins , waste bags, masks and sanitizers. On the recommendation of our Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhamiji, Samarpan extended its reach to work for the tribal women for their livelihood. Four Sewing Training Centres were established at the various location of Khatima Block. The objective of Samarpan NGO for children in Dehradun, was to train the tribal women for their livelihood. After their 03 months training course, each trained women were given sewing machine for their income generation and build a sustainable model for their growth.
Establishment of Community Based Open Air Gymnasium Covid Pandemic, brought to light the importance of health in maintaining good health, people has realized that some form of exercise and open air activities does a lot of good to building up of a better and stronger immune system. Keeping this in mind, Samarpan NGO for children in Dehradun, has proposed an “Open Air gymnasium”. The Open air gym is installed in Public Park, thus encouraging parents to use the fitness equipment while their children at play. The additions of exercise stations within community parks encourage local residents of all ages to maintain a healthy lifestyle close to home without added financial strain. In the pilot phase the first Open gym is installed at Oxygen Park, Khatima.
